Bastion - The Weight of Things

A collection by the MAGNA Atelier about strength, material, and the dignity of the immutable.
Some things whisper – others stand there like an answer.
Not loudly, not boastfully. But with the full weight of their heritage.
Bastion is made for spaces that don't pretend.
For people who are not looking for the easy way – but the solid one.
This collection shows what remains when you remove everything superfluous: stone, steel, silence.
A style that doesn't need to explain anything
A table from the Bastion collection doesn't want to be part of the collection—it wants to stand. As a coffee table amidst exposed concrete and leather, or as a dining table beneath rough plaster and an open ceiling.
As a focal point in a room that needs no decoration—just substance. It supports laptops, breakfasts, and discussions.
It holds up. And endures. Because it wasn't built for the moment—but for life.
For rooms with color
Bastion isn't a trend. These tables look like finds from disused factories, like witnesses to an era when things still had substance.
Natural stone in its raw expression: open-pored travertine, deep black granite, quartzite with a fine mica structure.
You can see where the material comes from. You can sense that it wasn't meant to be changed—only tamed.
The frames? No decoration. No masquerade.
Visible welds, clean lines, honest construction. Steel that supports. Stone that speaks.

Material that doesn't hide
Natural stone, as we use it, knows no vanity. It can be solid. Robust. Honest.
Its surface doesn't tell a story of modern design, but of Earth's history. Volcanic eruptions, inclusions, cracks—everything is part of it.
Just like steel, which doesn't want to shine. It wants to wear.
A Bastion table doesn't develop a patina—it simply ages. And becomes more dignified.
A piece of furniture that doesn’t seek attention – but rather gives attitude.
Models with character
The Bastion collection is powerful and clear – yet diverse in itself:
– Rom dining table & coffee table are clear and expressive – tables that don’t ask for attention, but get it.
– Spider displays bold geometry, almost sculptural – a table like a raw supporting structure.
– Bergen – compact, quiet, straightforward.
– Prague combines urban atmosphere with precision – a statement in silence.
– Venice , Oslo , Florence and Verona : each coffee table is a characterful, industrial-inspired solitaire.
– Silicon Valley is technically inspired – a table that thinks.
– Pittsburgh is reminiscent of industrial halls in the morning light – solid, honest, reliable.
Each model is created in our factory in Saxony-Anhalt – from real natural stone, with precision, by hand, and with time.
